Overview

TravelVibe ("the App") is a group travel coordination app that helps friends plan trips, share itineraries, split expenses, and organise packing lists. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your email address
• Your display name (as set in your Google account)

We do not receive your Google password or payment information.

Trip Data

When you use the App, the following data is stored on your behalf:

• Trip details (name, dates, description)
• Itinerary and activity information
• Expense records and split calculations
• Meal plans
• Packing lists
• Participant names and email addresses of people you invite

Technical Data

We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or device identifiers beyond what is required for Firebase to operate.

How We Use Your Information

• Authentication — Your email and name identify your account and personalise the app experience.
• Trip Collaboration — Trip data is shared with other participants you invite via the join code you distribute.
• Data Storage — All data is stored in Google Firebase so it is accessible across devices and to your trip participants.

Third-Party Services

TravelVibe uses the following third-party services:

No other third-party services receive your personal data.

Data Sharing

• With trip participants — Members of a trip can see the trip name, itinerary, expenses, meals, and packing list for that trip. They cannot see your other trips.
• With third parties — We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes.
• Legal requirements — We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Data Retention

Your data is retained in Firebase for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (available in the app under Settings → Delete Account), your authentication record is permanently removed from Firebase Authentication. Trip data you created may remain accessible to other participants until they also delete it.

Your Rights

• Access your data — All your trip data is visible within the app.
• Delete your account — Go to Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your Firebase Auth record.
• Request data deletion — Contact us at the email below and we will remove your data from Firebase manually if needed.

Children's Privacy

TravelVibe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
